Calligraphers to Compete in India Quran Calligraphy Contest
NEW DELHI (IQNA) – A national competition on calligraphy of the Holy Quran is planned to be organized in India.
It will be held by the Iranian Cultural Center in New Delhi in cooperation with India’s Calligraphers Society.
Those interested in taking part in the contest can submit their Quranic calligraphy works to the email address ichdehli@gmail.com.
The deadline for submitting the works is Friday, December 15, according to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
The submitted calligraphy works will be judged and the winners will be announced in January 2024.
There will be calligraphy workshops and an exhibition of the artists’ works on the sidelines of the contest.
The competition is aimed at promoting the culture of Quranic and Islamic calligraphy and supporting calligraphers.
